Minutes April 4, 2009
1. Welcome 4 new G Moms Wendy Nolan, Grace Inglis Debbie Coulter and Rosemary Goodley
2.Gala Report stated that we would basically do the same thing and the committee has already tweeked some details.
Laura our Treasurer reported a total profit of $8 733.31
3.Plan for the rest of the Year
Yard Sale: June 6 Johanna & Daphne …. Sign Up Sheet
The list of good items is on its way soon.
Dance : June 27 Partnering with Rotary Club :
Rotary will take care of Insurance and the committee has
Coffee and food under control. Janet shared marvelous
Information about the Guest Artist who will arrange a
Silent Auction as well. Tickets were distributed . It would
Be great if each person would try to sell a table of 8 .

Canada Day - July 1 Back Bacon on a Bun at the waterfront
BBQ : Port Perry Fair Sept. 5,6,7 is on hold until we see how we make out
Class Act Dinner Theatre Oct 15 Tickets $60
For “ Same Time Next Year.”
Port Perry Half Marathon Sept. 12 :pending - awaiting final answer from Angela regarding credit for sponsorship I have
Leadership Event at Pentecostal Church Friday May 8
Tinie and Dini will go for sure and work the room.
4. Advocacy : Pat Sparling gave an excellent report on the situation re our gov’t not being supportive of previous bills which would aid poor countries. She focused on the Generic Drug problems and the red tape issues which prevent them from getting to the much needed people of Africa.
Pippa will get the post cards from SLF today and we can then move on it asap.
5. Annual Due of $20 per person to Laura any time unless it’s done already.
6. Cards : Carolyn will sell at Yard Sale and Canada BBQ
7. Hats and T Shirts were available and most have one or the other now so we can be easily identified.
8. Jewelry : Dini , Judy reported great sales and have ordered more . They are keeping track and feel it is worthwhile.
9. Next Meeting : Tuesday May 12 Helen Silberger and Penny Lawler . Place : TBA
10. Carolyn Nixon for African information session . We will plan for September
11. African Granny Cook Book : Call Pippa or Tinie
12. Contact person from our group for the Regional Meeting November to help us stay connected with Linda Taberner .

General Meeting
Our next meeting for all G-Moms takes place on April 22 at Pippa's house in Castle Harbour.

Gala on the Greens 2009
A very good time was had by all at our first luncheon/fashion event held on April 4 at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club. Lots of money was raised, lots of food was eaten, and lots of happy faces carrying lots of fantastic prizes. Kudos to the committee for all of their efforts in making this event possible. Thanks to Judy for the pictures. More will be posted later.
